1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using MixGoat, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the software.
2. Description of Service
MixGoat is a desktop application for DJ library management, available for macOS and Windows. It provides tools for library migration, file compatibility fixing, Mixpedia search, loudness analysis and matching, metadata analysis and repair, library organization, analytics, and music playback.
3. Free and Paid Tiers
Free Tier: MixGoat offers a free tier that includes unlimited library migration, file compatibility fixing, FLAC conversion, loudness and metadata analysis, library analytics, Mixpedia search (limited results), playlist management, and a built-in music player. The free tier has no time limit and no usage caps.
Free Trial: New users receive a 14-day free trial of all GOAT features. The trial does not require a credit card and will not auto-charge. When the trial ends, you retain access to the Free tier.
GOAT Subscription: The GOAT plan unlocks additional features including full Mixpedia access, Smart Recommendations, loudness matching, metadata repair, smart library organization, and report exports. GOAT is available as a monthly ($9.99/month) or annual ($89/year) subscription.
4. Payment and Billing
All payments are processed by Paddle (paddle.com), who acts as the Merchant of Record. Paddle handles billing, tax, invoicing, and refunds on our behalf.
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled. You may cancel at any time through the subscription management page or by contacting support.
Prices are subject to change. Current pricing, including any promotional or launch pricing, may be updated with reasonable notice. Existing subscribers will be notified before any price changes affect their plan.
5. Refund Policy
We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee on all GOAT subscriptions. If you are not satisfied with your subscription within the first 30 days, contact us at support@mixgoat.com for a full refund.
6. Your Data and Files
MixGoat processes your files locally on your computer. Your music files are never uploaded to our servers. All changes (migrations, file fixes, metadata repairs, loudness matching) are written directly to your local files.
Changes made during a free trial or subscription remain intact even if you cancel or downgrade. We never reverse, lock, or remove changes you have already made to your files.
7. Mixpedia Data
Mixpedia provides information about which DJs have played specific tracks, based on publicly available tracklist data from DJ sets, festivals, radio shows, and online mixes. This data is provided for informational and discovery purposes. We make reasonable efforts to ensure accuracy but do not guarantee that all data is complete or error-free.
8. Acceptable Use
You agree not to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the software; redistribute, sublicense, or resell the software; use the software to violate any laws or infringe on intellectual property rights; or attempt to circumvent subscription restrictions or licensing mechanisms.
9. Limitation of Liability
MixGoat is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We are not responsible for data loss resulting from software use. While MixGoat creates automatic backups before destructive operations, you are responsible for maintaining your own backups of important files. In no event shall our liability exceed the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months preceding the claim.
10. Cancellation
You may cancel your GOAT subscription at any time. Upon cancellation, you retain access to GOAT features until the end of your current billing period, after which you revert to the Free tier.
All work performed during your subscription (file changes, metadata repairs, migrations, loudness matches) remains intact. Your files are yours — we never lock you in.
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify users of material changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
